Our driver/guide will pick up travelers from Kilimanjaro International Airport, Moshi hotels, or Arusha hotels depending on their booking details. The driver will be waiting at the arrival area or hotel reception holding a sign with the lead traveler’s name and Kilita safaris logo for easy identification.
Begin at Machame Gate with registration and briefing. Trek through dense rainforest on a gradual but steady trail. The path can be muddy, with chances to spot monkeys and unique flora. Arrive at Machame Camp for dinner and overnight.
Climb steeply through moorland and rocky ridges. The vegetation thins as elevation increases, offering wide views of the Shira Plateau. Arrive at Shira Camp for hot lunch, rest, and sunset views of Kibo.
Start with a gradual hike across the Shira Plateau. Ascend to Lava Tower (4,630 m) for acclimatization, then descend into the Barranco Valley. The route helps your body adjust to high altitude. Dinner and overnight at Barranco Camp.
Begin by climbing the famous Barranco Wall. The trail is steep but non-technical and offers dramatic views. Continue through ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp. Afternoon rest and acclimatization walk.
A short but steep climb through alpine desert leads to Barafu Camp, the base for summit night. Arrive early, eat an early dinner, and rest. Final briefing is done before you sleep to prepare for the midnight summit push.
Around midnight, start the slow ascent toward Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. After celebrating at the summit, descend back to Barafu for brunch, then continue down to Mweka Camp for overnight.
Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Collect your summit certificates and meet your vehicle for transfer back to Moshi for rest and celebration.
