    You’ve seen Kobe Tower, right? Well, Kobe Tower is located in Meriken Park. Meriken Park is also home to a must-visit monument: the BE KOBE sign. This is the perfect spot for a photo with the Oriental Hotel and the beautiful Kobe waterfront as your backdrop.     Ever wondered where the name Kobe comes from? In this tour, we will visit Ikuta Shrine, and you’ll find out where the "Kobe" came from! This shrine has been around since the year 300 AD and is one of Kobe’s most iconic landmarks. But remember, Ikuta Shrine is a place of worship, so if we visit, always be respectful of those who are praying!

    Kobe is one of the few port cities opened during the Meiji Restoration era. Because of this, it became a settlement for many immigrants. For the Chinese immigrants, they established their homes along Nankinmachi, so as you walk down this street, you’ll see lot of Chinese-style buildings here!
