    Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel

    You will be greeted by your professional tour guide in Whittier where our journey will begin through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel

    We will stop at the Begich Boggs Visitor Center situated at next to Portage Lake at the base of the Chugach Mountains. There will plenty of opportunities to take pictures in this area, at the visitor center you will learn about the glaciers in the area and how they have changed overtime as well as the impact the receeding glaciers has on the Alaskan Environment. If you are visiting while the salmon are running, your guide will take you to an overlook to see the salmon.

    Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

    The ALaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a favorite for locals and tourists alike. The center is a sanctuary for native Alaskan wildlife. At the center they are cared for in natural settings, and easy to view for visitors. You will have the chance to see bears, lynx, moose, and many other beautiful Alaskan animals

    Visit the charming ski community of Girdwood. Girdwood is the southern most part of the Municipality of Anchorage. At the end of the Alyeska highway sits the Alyeska Resort. This resort is home to the largest ski resort in Alaska. You will have time to wander through the shops and see the breathtaking grounds before we head up the mountain on the Alyeska Tram. At the top of the aeriel tram we will have lunch at the boretide deli and you will have a chance to visit the Roundhouse gift shop. We think this will be one of the highlights of your Alaska vacation. Included is $30 to spend at the the deli on food.

    Seward Highway

    We will begin the journey along the scenic Seward highway to Anchorage. Along the route your guide will be on the lookout for beluga whales, or wildlife traversing the cliffs. We will make one or more stops at scenic viewpoints to allow you a chance to get more pictures of the Cook Inlet, the Chugach Mountains, and all the unique sites of Alaska.

    Anchorage

    When we arrive in Anchorage, your guide will take you to the Alaska WildBerry Products. There you will have the opportunity to browse the marvelous selection of unique Alaskan treats from locally harvested honey, to jams made from Alaskan berries. Make sure and get your picture in front of the 8' brown bear and check out the chocolate waterfall. Depending on the time your guide will take you to other intersting and noteworthy stops around Anchorage before dropping you off at Ted Steven's International Airport.
