Golden Whip Brook
Stroll along the breathtaking Golden Whip Stream Canyon, known as one of the top ten scenic wonders of Zhangjiajie. Flowing west to east through the National Forest Park, the stream is flanked by dramatic cliffs and lush forests, creating a serene and picturesque landscape. It is the world’s tallest outdoor elevator, rising 335 meters (1,099 feet) up a cliff face. Option 1 World Natural Heritage Site — Baofeng Lake: Known as a "classic among the world’s lakes," Baofeng Lake is located at the heart of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie. With a depth of 72 meters (236 feet) and a length of 2.5 kilometers (1.55 miles), it is renowned for its serene waters, picturesque mountain reflections, and mysterious caves, making it a prime example of Wulingyuan’s water scenery. The famous TV series Journey to the West filmed its Flower and Fruit Mountain Waterfall scene here at the "Flying Waterfall of Strange Peaks." Yellow Dragon Cave

Zhangjiajie Tianmen Moutain

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Tianmen Mountain, known as the “Heavenly Gate Mountain,” is Zhangjiajie’s highest peak and offers breathtaking views from Yunyue Fairy Peak. Explore the bonsai-like stone forest and enjoy panoramic scenery. The mountain is famed for its dramatic cliffs and hosted wingsuit legend Jeb Corliss’s daring flight. Walk the thrilling Glass Skywalk, clinging to sheer cliffs and offering heart-pounding views. Drive up the Tongtian Avenue, with 99 sharp turns and a vertical rise of nearly 1,000 meters, called the “world’s most spectacular mountain road.” Visit Tianmen Cave, a rare high-altitude natural archway piercing through the mountain, and explore the Guigu Cliffside Path, a 1,600-meter-long walkway hanging at 1,400 meters above sea level. Zhangjiajie Junsheng Painting Institute
A unique art gallery dedicated to showcasing sandstone paintings. Founded in 2001 by Mr. Li Junsheng, a renowned Tujia ethnic minority artist and the pioneer of sandstone painting, this gallery has become a cultural landmark. In 2004, it was officially rated as a national AA-level tourist attraction by the China National Tourism Scenic Area Quality Rating Committee. The institute integrates the research, development, creation, and sale of sandstone art, while also exhibiting traditional ethnic handicrafts, making it a one-of-a-kind private art museum in Zhangjiajie.
