  Begin your private Nagano tour with pickup from your hotel or accommodation in the selected pickup area, including Tokyo, Nagano City, or Hakuba. Meet your English-speaking driver and travel comfortably in a private air-conditioned vehicle. From Tokyo, the drive to the Nagano area takes approximately 3 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Pickup and driving times from Nagano City or Hakuba will vary.

  Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park

  Visit the famous Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park and observe Japanese macaques in their natural mountain environment. Reach the monkey-viewing area via the forest walking trail and enjoy time watching the wild monkeys as they move through the valley. During colder periods, the monkeys are well known for entering the hot spring, although this cannot be guaranteed because their behavior depends on natural conditions. Comfortable walking shoes and warm clothing are recommended during winter and snowy conditions.

  Zenko-ji Temple

  Continue to historic Zenko-ji Temple, one of Nagano's most important Buddhist landmarks.   After completing your Nagano sightseeing, return to your private vehicle and relax during the drive back. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel or agreed location within your selected pickup area. Important itinerary note: This is a private and customizable tour.
