With the help of an expert local guide, you will also learn the fascinating history and culture of this remote territory. Even if you are not confident in your stamina, the electric-assist bicycles allow you to cruise up hills with ease while enjoying the scenery. For lunch, we provide local food that lets you fully immerse yourself in the flavors of the region.

Meet your guide in front of the hotel. She will give you a brief lesson on how to use the e-bikes. After a short introduction and safety briefing, it’s time to ride. Climbing up from your hotel, the route opens onto a scenic road with views of the town, coast, and the sea beyond. Soon, we will descend into town toward our first rare sight: a spectacular grove of strangler figs. Next to this magical forest sits a historic shrine that doubles as a traditional theater. With the help of your guide, you can crawl beneath the stage to see the fascinating inner workings of the rotating theater above. Continuing through a maze of narrow streets, we will arrive at a historic mansion—the former residence of wealthy Meiji-era traders. This mansion remains preserved in its original condition, and your guide will take you inside for an exclusive look. After a morning of riding, we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon with a stop at a local coffee shop.
