Xochimilco is one of Mexico City’s most iconic destinations — a network of ancient canals and floating gardens declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by Aztec civilization as an agricultural system of chinampas, these artificial islands continue to produce food for the city to this day. On board a traditional trajinera, you will discover a world at your own pace: boat vendors, families celebrating on the water and mariachis filling the air with the unmistakable sound of Mexico.
