For Dubliners, Henry Street is where Christmas really begins
Many couples cross here at Christmas for a first kiss under the lights — it’s Dublin’s own mistletoe moment
Fun Fact: Guinness used to gift every employee a Christmas turkey up until the 1980s.
Buskers (street performers) make Grafton magical at Christmas. Picture Bono or Glen Hansard singing here on Christmas Eve. Festive Note: In Ireland, it’s common to visit the pub with friends on Christmas Eve (the famous “12 Pubs of Christmas” pub crawl tradition).
From the candle in the window, to the music in the streets, to the lights above us — Dublin at Christmas is about warmth, welcome, and sharing. Thank you for joining me tonight, and Nollaig Shona Duit — Happy Christmas!
