Hi!I am Ryoko of the cooking instructer. In this class,you can experience Japanese soul food in a authentic Japanese home while getting a taste of local culture in a casual environment. We are small group of 2-8 people,conducted in English and last 3 hours . Learn cooking techniques and simple recipes in an informal,comfortable atmosphere while enjoying socializing with each other. We will make dashi soup stock from scratch for miso soup. And please select ine of 2 types of roll sushi. Children can also fun together.Also your roll sushi will surely be popular on home party menus.My recipe for tempura is easy to make. I will teach you my recipe for delicious tempura batter.
Recommended for vegetarians as well.
After table set, let's eat together!Finally I will give you my recipes that I have devised for you to make at home.

Seafood roll

We use tuna, egg roll, crab stick, cucumber, radish sprout, shiso, vinegared rice, Nori(seaweed) and wrap them with sushi mat.

We use salmon, avocado, crab stick, cucumber, sesame, mayonnaise, nori(seaweed) vinegared rice and wrap with sushi mat.( I teach way of the back roll)

We will use prawns,lotus roots, sweet potatoes,broccoli,pumpkin, etc...mainly seasonal vegetables.

We will make soup stock from scratch. Please enjoy authentic dashi soup stock. Ingredients are tofu, fried tofu and long leek and miso.

What to expect

If you love Roll sushi and tempura and want to make them in your own country, come to my cooking class!You will learn simple methods and techniques to make popular home-cooked roll sushi and tempura. In this class,please select one of the two types of roll sushi, Seafood roll and California roll. Both sushi are made with tuna, salmon, egg rolls and vegetables and rolled using a sushi mat. Tempura uses large prawns and several seasonal vegetables, especially lotus roots and sweet potatoes are popular.
I am a licensed chef and will teach you how to make it simple,in a clear and detailed way even if you are not a good cook or have never attended a cooking class before.
The class is held in English in my kitchen and last 3 hours. You will cook together in a relaxed atmosphere in a small group while experiencing Japanese culture. English language recipes will be given at the end of the class.
