Freedom Elephant Reserve's 90 minutes experience start's with feeding to help create a bond between you and your new friends. Guests are given a basket of fruit each to take to the feed station, where they will watch the elephants eat at their own pace as they use their trunks to guide their food into their mouths.
Whilst the elephants eat and you enjoy your time with them, our guides will tell you all about their individual stories. You can photograph and watch the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their lifestyle and behaviors.
After the feeding is over and you have been introduced to all the elephants, you will walk along with the elephants to the mud spa. It’s time to cover their bodies in mud. This is where they will rub themselves against the mud wall to rub off parasites and exfoliate to remove any dead skin.
Next, they will head over to the river. This is where you will observe them wade through the water as they splash, play, and cool themselves down.
