Meeting and pickup
Meeting point is the South Gate of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Tickets-only travelers enter independently via the passport lane on the left side of the entrance. For the private tour upgrade, the guide and the driver will meet you at your hotel.
What to expect
If you prefer freedom and flexibility, choose the tickets only option and explore the panda base at your own pace. It is a great choice for independent travelers who simply want a clear entry plan and an easy start at the South Gate.
If you would like a more effortless and efficient visit, upgrade to a private tour. The panda base is large and it can be hard to know where to go first. Your guide will help you follow the best route and take you to the best viewing spots, so you spend less time wandering and more time enjoying the pandas. The guide and driver will meet you at your hotel, accompany you throughout the visit, and take you back after the tour.
