You’ll learn in a beautiful, open stretch of beach with consistent waves, clear water, and plenty of space to progress comfortably. Our professional local instructors focus on safety, fun, and confidence, offering hands-on coaching in one of Maui’s most scenic and legendary surf locations right in the heart of Kāʻanapali.

Meeting point

Meet on the beach between the Kāʻanapali Westin and Kāʻanapali Aliʻi 15 minutes before your lesson. Bring sunscreen, water, and a towel. We provide all surf gear. Parking: beach parking between the Kāʻanapali Marriott and Kāʻanapali Aliʻi, or next to Leilani’s at Whalers Village.

What to expect

Your lesson begins with a short safety briefing and easy-to-follow surf instruction on the beach, covering paddling, popping up, balance, and ocean awareness (15–20 minutes). After that, you’ll spend the rest of your session in the water catching waves with hands-on guidance from a professional surf instructor focused on safety, fun, and progression.
