Welcome to beautiful Rwanda, where every inch of this safari destination is as magical and breathtaking as you have been imagining. Orientation will take place upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, before being transferred to the Hotel. You will sleep in a historic hotel that played a great role in securing hundreds of innocent souls from the wrath of the genocide. After your breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and then set off for a city tour in Kigali, where you will be transferred to the Kigali genocide memorial (world heritage site). This is where you will learn more about the Rwanda genocide, “THE CASE THAT WILL NEVER BE ERESED”. The tour takes about 2 hours. After, you will also visit craft shops near this tourist site. At 10 AM, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (the home of Uganda’s Gorillas). The drive from Kigali city to the Uganda-Rwanda border is about 2 hours. Bwindi is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Simply jaw-dropping is the most fantastic way to describe this exhilarating safari destination, where verdant forests and rugged terrains offer unforgettable experiences. The drive from the border to Bwindi is approximately 3hours since you will be using a dirt road while ascending to about 2500 meters above sea level. Check into your hotel, refresh, have dinner, and relax for the night.
The drive to the Gorilla park will consist of driving through this amazing forest
After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, the endangered mountain gorillas will await you in the jungles this day. First, attend the mandatory briefing and entertainment at the park Headquarters and information centre, then off you go into the jungles, under the guidance of a professional armed Ranger guide, and find the giant apes after 1-2 hours of careful walking. The face-to-face encounter with these creatures is one of the must-do moments during a Uganda safari, and your trip will make it possible to achieve this ambition. Having enjoyed lunch and rested so well, you will walk into the community for 1-2 hrs to learn the different cultures and traditions that make them stand out. During the community walk, you will also have an opportunity to experience a coffee tour. After heading back to the Lodge with fresh memories from the gorilla trek and community tour. NB: A community walk will be arranged after the trek, depending on energy levels.
On this day, you say goodbye to Bwindi National Park as you take a 3-hour drive into the great savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park, dotted with acacia and cactus trees, which are good for spotting tree-climbing lions. You will leave Bwindi with a packed lunch, which you will have in the form of a picnic while in the middle of the lush plains of Ishasha. You will be able to spot the big 5 here, and you will take some time to drive through the savannah to spot more game species; go tracking the tree-climbing lions of Ishasha before heading out to your hotel. Leave the Ishasha sector by 3 pm and arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Undertaking a guided game drive and a boat cruise are the best ways of unearthing the beauty of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The day begins with breakfast and orientation at the Lodge, before boarding the safari vehicle for a full-blast game drive with the hope of seeing several cats, spotted hyenas, lions, Defassa, waterbucks, leopards, Oribis, warthogs, mangoose, Hippos, Cape buffaloes, duikers, Uganda Kobs, African savanna elephants, and so much more. While there are countless opportunities for game viewing. The activity will take about 3-4 hours before you return to the Lodge for Lunch. You will also visit salt mining sites within the park before exiting. After lunch, you will then head back to the park for the evening game drive. At 7 pm, drive back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Wake up at leisure, have breakfast, and check out your hotel. You will have a gentle drive towards Kibale National Park, “the home of Great Chimps”. You will pass by the Equator for a photo shoot. Then proceed to Kasese town. You enjoy the great scenic views of Fort Portal and the Kalinju forests mingled in the bright coloured tea plantations. Arrive at your hotel for Lunch. Refresh and rest.
Kibale Forest National Park is often ranked one of Africa’s best places to trek for the endangered chimpanzees. On this day, we will have a packed lunch and we will head out to join other travellers in searching for these Great Apes in their natural habitat, and this starts by 8:00 am after a briefing and lasts 1-4 hours. It’s not just a chimpanzee’s affair because other animals, several birds, butterflies, and tree species will be spotted along the way, but after all the patience, commitment, and hard work, the chimpanzee troop will be found, and one hour is the time you have to observe and take photos. Sometimes the trek can take even less than 4 hours. After the tracking, you will head back to your lodge for lunch and rest.
This is the day we leave Kibale National Park and head to the majestic Murchison Falls National Park. We will head to another exciting destination for our 22-day East Africa Safari. The journey to Murchison Falls National Park is a bit long (about 5-6 hours) and therefore we leave early, but expect lots of en-route sceneries of the countryside, huge plantations, and many other landscapes. Settle for lunch in Hoima Oil City and proceed to the Nile Valley through amazing views of the endless natural beauty to your place of lodging in the late afternoon. Check in, and later we will head out to a brief evening game drive. Then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
This day is about unearthing the diversity of Murchison Falls National Park and kicks off with an early morning or packed breakfast at the Lodge. Start driving through its savannah plains dotted with acacia and River banks where hartebeests, lions, Cape buffaloes, warthogs, Hippos, leopards, Oribis, spotted hyenas, Olive baboons, African bush elephants, kudus, Vervet monkeys, bushbucks, Defassa waterbucks, and Uganda Kobs are frequently spotted. You will visit the top of the world’s strongest waterfalls on this day. A delicious and hot lunch will be served at your Safari Lodge. In the afternoon, treat your adventure side to a rewarding private boat ride down the scenic Victoria Nile, where you will spend 3 hours browsing the banks for Hippos, Nile crocodiles, African bush elephants, and Cape buffaloes, as well as birds. After the boat cruise, you will return to the park to wind up with an evening game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
This is the day we leave the majestic Murchison Falls National Park behind and continue to another exciting destination for our 22-day East Africa Safari. The journey to Jinja is a bit long (about 7 hours) and therefore we leave early morning, but expect lots of en-route sceneries of the countryside, settle for lunch in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary ( Rhino fund Uganda)after 2 hours of rhino tracking, and later proceed through Kampala City to Jinja City.
You will have your breakfast and head out for the Nile excursion at exactly 8 am, where you will have 1 hour to explore the source of the world’s longest River Nile, in Jinja town. After you proceed to another African border crossing experience at the Busia border post for Kenya and Uganda. Then continue your way to the Kenyan side. You will have a late lunch in Kisumu City. It will be a maximum of 7-8 hours' drive to get to your Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. You have a night stay in Kisi town due to the border crossing process delays. Sometimes it gets tough as the traffic gets really stiff. Busia is Africa's busiest border; it serves as Africa’s gateway to the seaport of Mombasa, which links Africa to Asia and Australia.
On this 12th day of your 22-day Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Holiday, have an early breakfast and transfer to the park for a game drive. The transfer from Kisi town to the Masai Mara is approximately 3 hours. You will go straight to check into your lodge, have lunch, and refresh. Have enough rest before heading out for the evening community walk. After enjoying lunch and a little bit of rest. You will go for an evening game drive/ walk exploring the park, looking for animals such as giraffes, gazelles, cape buffaloes, African wild dogs, zebras, and lions, among others. Around 7 pm, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
This is a day specifically dedicated to exploring what the mighty Masai Mara has to offer. A whole day will be spent on a game drive with a picnic Lunch at the MARA RIVER MIGRATION BRIDGE. This will be a day in Africa’s finest jungle, interacting with nature. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay. Relax and prepare for an early morning Game drive as you exit Kenya.
Have an early morning breakfast, meet your guide, and depart from Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti through Ishebania, Kenya, Tanzania border post, with a warm welcome of the unforgettable land of Tanzania. A short briefing will be rendered to you before we proceed to our destination. After four to five hours of en-route game drive, we expect to see some welcoming animals as we cruise through Serengeti National Park. After a late lunch, we shall have a rest and time to enjoy the environment and view of the wide plain of Serengeti and some resident animals around. After dinner, you will get a briefing about your hot air balloon safari from our crew, then a warm sleep with the nature choruses of different singers from insects, with some animals such as hyenas laughing, and early morning rhythmic birds.
Leave very early in the morning for a hot air balloon safari in Serengeti, where you will have a great view of the Serengeti from the top. After breakfast and the celebration of your certificate from the balloon crew, we shall provide you with our game drive, where you will get a great chance to spot and see animals as close as possible to quench your desires. Bush lunch will amaze your visit due to the great surroundings with a cool bush breeze and a bunch of therapeutic sensory-stimulating scents of nature. The second half will begin, and the deep plains of Serengeti will give you a better chance of spotting most animals, especially the cat family. After a great viewing of amazing animals, we shall proceed to the southern part of Serengeti, where volcanic ash is believed to have been deposited there hence most animals, especially the wild beasts, love it due to its richness of calcium for the new babies. We will drive through the wide open plains to our lodge.
Leave as early as possible for the early game drive and en route game drive to Ngorongoro Crater. After a nice breakfast in the base of Caldera, we shall proceed to; One of the most visited sites in Africa. The magical land that is reserved and has all the things that nature can offer, with a higher chance of seeing the big five. The Ngorongoro conservation area. After lunch, leave via the crater walls with an amazing view of the caldera.
The guide will pick you up and drive you to the wild for hunting activities with the Adzhabe and Datoga tribes in Tanzania. The experience takes approximately 2 hours. Then, after, you will have a real interaction with them for another 1 hour. After you will head out for lunch and proceed to Karatu, where you will visit the Maasai Boma village for a Masai cultural experience. This will be your cultural day.
After an amazing, comfy sleep at the feet of the world’s free-standing mountain, Kilimanjaro, if we are lucky, we could see its peak covered with snow. On our drive, we shall proceed to Dar es Salaam with amazing different landscapes while sloping down to the sea level to catch up with our boat to Zanzibar. We will stop on the way for Lunch in one of the best viewing points of the series of Usambara Mountains with the best scenic views in Africa. You will drive through Dar-es-salaam to the harbor for an evening 1 and half hour cruise to Zanzibar
On the 19th day of your 22-day Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Holiday, wake up at your leisure, have breakfast, then head out for a 5hrs kayaking session through the mangrove tunnel. This will occur in Jozani forest, through the Uzi island village tour, the marine park tour, and from there you will enjoy a seafood lunch. After lunch, head to Stone Town, where you will experience the history and culture of Zanzibar. You will also visit the Darajani Market, where you will meet and interact with the locals. After you will en route through the spice farm as you return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
****FREE DAY!!!! CHILLING AT THE BEACH****** Wake up at your own leisure for breakfast. After you are free to be anywhere at the beach as long as you don’t miss out on lunchtime. This will be your day to have more time for yourself. You will have lunch at your own leisure, and dinner will be served from 7-8 pm. The guide is available whenever you need him.
Have breakfast, relax at the beach, and prepare for the transfer to the harbour for the return ferry. Have lunch at 12:00 noon and transfer to the harbour at 1 pm. Embark on a one-and-a-half-hour cruise to the mainland. Check into your hotel at 7 pm, have dinner while winding up the 22-day safari.
Early in the morning, after your breakfast, check out of the hotel and embark on a 20-minute drive to the airport. The guide will escort you to Julius Nyerere International Airport for your return flight.
