What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Your experience departs directly from the private dock at Nature Space Resort. Upon arrival, please check in at the red office yurt. Make sure to book your tour in advance, as walk-ins are not accepted.
What to expect
You’ll begin on shore with a safety briefing before getting equipped with your kayak and safety gear. From there, you’ll paddle through the calm, protected waters of St. Peter’s Lake, a coastal lagoon that connects to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
As you glide along, you’ll explore an area recognized by Nature Canada as an Important Bird Area, home to diverse birdlife—including the endangered piping plover.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the local ecosystem and how to move gently through this fragile habitat without disturbing its wildlife.
You’ll then land on a secluded beach, where you can stretch your legs and take a peaceful walk along the scenic estuary leading to the Gulf.
When you return, Jarrod will greet you with a delicious tasting of oysters prepared three different ways. You’ll also have the option to learn how to shuck an oyster yourself.
This approximately 3-hour experience is hands-on, educational, and fully immersive—perfect for combining adventure, learning, and local flavors.
