What to expect

Welcome to Mama Lucy’s - Live the Maasai Way - Village Stay. Located in the breathtaking landscape of Mount Lengijave with stunning views of Mount Meru, this Homestay invites you to experience the warmth of Maasai culture and a deeply rooted sense of community. Mama Lucy, a devoted mother of six, respected community figure and former English teacher, welcomes you with her wisdom, humour and ever-present cup of chai. Her youngest daughter Faith playfully learns by her side, while older children share stories, dancing and farming after school. You stay in a traditional yet modern clay-built house with beautifully painted Maasai symbols. Surrounded by a peaceful garden, you enjoy meals prepared over an open fire using fresh ingredients. Start your day milking cows with Mama Lucy and connect to the deep bond between the Maasai and their livestock. This is a home where tradition and hospitality come alive.
