What to expect

Green Stay - Your Unique Homestay at the Foot of Kilimanjaro - Comfort Stay: Just 15 minutes from Moshi, Green Stay combines modern comfort with traditional Tanzanian life. Your hosts, Hilda, her in-laws Beda and Gaudencia, and her children warmly welcome you and enjoy sharing stories about their daily life and Chaga culture. You stay in a high-standard guesthouse while the family lives next door. The garden with chickens, sheep, and pigs invites you to join in with gardening and animal care. You can cook in the modern kitchen or try the traditional way over firewood. Do not miss tasting locally brewed banana beer, passed around in the spirit of friendship. You also have the chance to visit a nearby NGO and learn about its school, church, hospital, and projects. Popular excursions like Materuni Waterfalls and Kikuletwa Hot Springs are easy to reach. On clear days you might catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro.
