Meeting Instructions: Please meet in front of the National Flag at Independence Square, Colombo 07. Your guide will be wearing a black hat and carrying a camera bag. For additional assistance or guidance, the guide will also contact you directly before the meeting time.
Our photography walk ends at the iconic Galle Face Green, Colombo — a vibrant oceanside promenade where the golden sunset, lively atmosphere, and scenic views offer the perfect final frames for your photo journey.

We gather at Independence Square, one of Colombo’s most iconic landmarks, known for its grand colonial architecture and peaceful surroundings. This location is ideal for warming up with your camera, learning how to use light and shadow, and practicing symmetry and framing techniques. We'll also take a few minutes here to introduce ourselves, discuss the walk plan, and talk about each participant's creative goals. The shaded corridors and majestic stone pillars make for great architectural and portrait shots.

2Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple
Our next stop is the iconic Gangaramaya Temple, a sacred space that beautifully blends Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architectural styles. From intricate carvings and Buddha statues to colorful shrines and antique collections, this location offers endless inspiration for detail shots, textures, and cultural storytelling. We'll focus on capturing respectful yet powerful images that reflect the temple’s spiritual atmosphere and visual richness.

3Colombo Lighthouse
From sacred serenity to coastal charm, we move to the Colombo Lighthouse, a colonial-era structure that still stands tall near the Port of Colombo. Though it's no longer open for climbing, the area around it offers sweeping views of the sea, port activity, and striking urban contrast. This stop is perfect for experimenting with leading lines, silhouettes, and wide-angle shots as we transition toward more open and dramatic compositions.

4Galle Face Green
Galle Face Green serves as a beloved gathering spot for both locals and visitors. The promenade is perfect for leisurely strolls, kite flying, and enjoying stunning sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Evenings bring the area to life with street vendors offering Sri Lankan delicacies like isso vade (spicy lentil patties topped with prawns), mango slices with chili and salt, and other flavorful snacks.
