What sets this tour apart is its personal, local touch — led by your guide who knows and loves the island. You'll explore stunning coastal scenery, learn fascinating maritime history, and stop at hidden landmarks like the North Stack Fog Station. With a small group size and a relaxing café break included, this is more than a walk — it’s an authentic Anglesey experience that combines natural beauty, storytelling, and local hospitality.
Meet outside the South Stack Visitor Centre, LL65 1YH. I will be waiting outside the entrance with a name badge and clipboard. Paid parking available (£7.50/day), or free roadside parking nearby. No toilets at the start of the tour. Please arrive 10 minutes early. Tour starts promptly at 8:00 AM.
We’ll stop at the viewpoint overlooking South Stack Lighthouse. Your guide will explain the history of the lighthouse, from its construction in 1809 to its role in local shipwrecks and coastal safety. We do not go inside the lighthouse itself, but the views and stories bring its legacy to life.
The route takes you around the base of Holyhead Mountain, the highest point on Holy Island. Your guide will share insight into its geology, significance, and scenic value. This section offers views of Holyhead Harbour.
Midway through the walk, we’ll stop at Caffi’r Parc, a peaceful local café in the scenic surroundings of Holyhead Breakwater Country Park. Guests can enjoy a hot drink and their choice of homemade cake or a breakfast bap, included in the tour. It’s a relaxing break and a chance to experience a popular local spot.
