Nihondaira is about 300 m above sea level. It is one of Shizuoka City's most famous scenic spots, having been voted No. 1 on the list of the 100 best sightseeing spots in Japan.From the observatory, visitors can enjoy a 360° 'panoramic view' of Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay and Miho Matsubara.

Kunouzan Toshogu Shrine is associated with shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. Whether he is buried in the mausoleum of him on this site is still a mystery. Imagine seeing the mausoleum with your own eyes!
