Welcome to the French Riviera! Located at the foot of the French Alps along the Mediterranean Sea, this area is a picturesque place to start your road-trip adventure. Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up in the city of your choice and begin the journey. Your first stop is a place called Saint-Paul-de-Vence. This fortified little village where you'll have free time to explore in the late afternoon and evening. Perched atop a verdant hill 15 minutes from the sea, this medieval village enjoys an exceptional panoramic view that stretches from the coast to the pre-alpine mountains. Arriving in Saint Paul, you first come across the renowned hostel called La Colombe d'Or, which has hosted a plethora of artists such as Chagall, Modigliani, and Matisse. Today, the property houses many of these artists' works.
Following the castle, you'll continue the drive to Gourdon. Nicknamed the "Eagle's Nest," this lofty village is perched at 2493 feet (760 meters) on a dizzyingly high, rocky outcrop. Overlooking the Valley of the Loup, the panoramic views stretch over the entire Riviera—from Nice on the left to Théoule on the right. The historic village served as a fortress of and on since the 8th century thanks to its exceptional natural defenses.
Once you arrive in Saint-Jeannet, you will enjoy a wine tasting at a wonderful, historic family estate with a breathtaking sea view.
On the way to the medieval village of Eze enjoy breathtaking views along the famous roads of the Moyenne, Grande, or Basse Corniche, overlooking Villefranche-sur-Mer, Eze the medieval village and the so-called "billionaire’s peninsula" of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. First, we'll stop for photos at two of the most stunning viewpoints on the Côte d'Azur: Nice and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, where you'll admire a breathtaking panorama from the highest points. So the first major stop will be the charming medieval village of Èze. Perched at 427 meters above sea level, the village is built on the highest point of the rock. Stroll through its picturesque alleys to reach the summit, explore the exotic garden, and admire the ruins of the ancient castle. Next, we'll visit the iconic French brand Fragonard perfume factory, one of only two in the world, for a unique sensory experience.
Once we arrive in the Principality of Monaco, there are many remarkable sights to discover: The Prince's Palace, the Cathedral, and the Oceanographic Museum. Then, we'll follow the legendary Formula One Grand Award track to reach Monte Carlo. Enjoy some free time in Monte Carlo to explore at your own pace. Discover the Casino de Monte-Carlo, Place du Casino, luxury boutiques, the beautifully manicured Casino Gardens, and the iconic Inn de Paris, radiating the charm and elegance of the grand hotels of the 19th century.
After breakfast at your hotel, you can visit the last French city before the border of Italy, buy citrus and food to experience a taste of local culture. A good place to start is the daily covered market that takes place at Les Halles on the Quai de Monléon where 30 colorful stallholders sell fresh fruit, vegetables, spices, and sweet treats. During the summer months, the market swells to Place Fornari with more stalls selling clothing and various other items.
Let's start with the famous San Remo border city next to the Ligurian Sea known for its markets, villas, and casinos built by nobility from all over the world in the nineteenth century.
The scenic road will lead to the Dolceaqua medieval village and market, the most remote evidence of the settlement of the area is represented by the Iron Age castles. Rough dry stone fortifications with concentric ring walls that occupied the heights of Coma d'Aurin
