The driver will be waiting for you with a sign displaying the lead traveler's name at the airport or the international train station in Ulaanbaatar upon your arrival. Once you have arrived in Ulaanbaatar and checked into your hotel, our driver and English-speaking guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at the scheduled time. After the days of activities, you will be dropped off at the same hotel for a restful evening.

    Depart in the morning for Ugii Lake, traveling along smooth paved roads before transitioning to a scenic 90 km stretch of dirt road that leads to the lake. Upon arrival, take time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Ugii Lake is home to over 150 species of birds, making it a great spot for birdwatching and fishing. In the afternoon, visit a local nomadic family to learn about their traditional lifestyle and livestock herding practices. This will be your first opportunity to experience overnight in a Mongolian ger, offering a unique glimpse into the daily life of Mongolia’s herders. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Today, we drive to Kharkhorin, the historic site of the once-great capital of the Mongol Empire. While little remains of the original city, the area holds deep cultural significance. In 1586, King Avtai Sain established the Erdene Zuu Monastery on the ruins of ancient Kharkhorin. Known as the “Hundred Treasures Monastery,” Erdene Zuu is Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery. Though heavily damaged during the Stalinist purges of the 1930s, the site still preserves remarkable Buddhist statues, religious artifacts, Tsam dance masks, and 108 white stupas that surround the complex.
