I will pick you up early at the meeting points of vibrant Guatemala City to begin our journey together by private transportation to the stunning Lake Atitlan. Traveling together a route through cold land that is a magical experience, in which you can appreciate the diverse and colorful villages that adorn the route, while resting comfortably in transport. Our first stop will be at one of the most beautiful viewpoints, from where you can take in breathtaking views of the Lake and its surroundings. In addition, they will have the opportunity to live a cultural experience with local vendors, where they can buy delicious seasonal fruits and unique crafts made by Mayan hands.

    San Antonio Palopó, a charming K'akchikel Mayan village on the shores of Lake Atitlan, dazzles with its white houses with red roofs and artisan ceramic workshops. Surrounded by green hills, it offers spectacular views of the lake and a peaceful atmosphere where time seems to stand still. Its people, warm and proud, share traditions that are reflected in their colorful costumes and their ability to create unique pieces of mud and glazed ceramics. We visited a local ceramic factory to learn about the process and see how it is done. We also visited the local chocolate factory, pier and waterside shops.     Santa Catarina Palopo

    Santa Catarina Palopó is a picturesque corner of Lake Atitlan, adorned with hand-painted houses reflecting the worldview and Mayan symbols. Here, visitors immerse themselves in the daily life of the K'akchikel people, surrounded by mountains, flowers and artisans who weave stories through their art and hospitality. During this stop, we can learn about local fabrics, clothes, blankets and different crafts made with traditional methods. We also visit the local cultural center where we can taste delicious coffee and local chocolates, and finally go to the pier where you can tour the picturesque shops or have a snack and drinks in the lakefront restaurant.

    Panajachel

    We will finish this incredible day in the same place where we started, the iconic Panajachel, we headed to Playa Banca En Barrio Jucanya to take some photos before heading to deliver the bikes. Then we head to the jetty to board the private boat to Amankaya, a spectacular lakefront house. There, we will be greeted by host Fernando Pérez, who will welcome us with a delicious dinner. Afterwards, it will be ideal to rest early, as the next morning another great adventure awaits: the Tour of the Quetzal.

    Santiago Atitlan

    Santiago Atitlan Tour Check-out time: 5:30 a.m. The Mirador Rey Tepepul is part of the impressive nature reserves that exist around Lake Atitlan. For approximately 3 hours, we will immerse ourselves in a tour designed for the observation of one of the most beautiful and emblematic birds in the world El Quetzal, in its natural habitat. They will be accompanied by an expert authorized birdwatching guide, equipped with a telescope and the MERLIN app to facilitate the experience and easily recognize these amazing birds. The hike will be approximately 5 kilometers round trip along a natural rustic trail with various conditions, we pass through a beautiful waterfall in an original forest, it will be a unique experience.
