This is not a typical sightseeing tour.
It’s a chance to slow down, ask questions, and experience Japan through conversation with a local.
As a Japanese language teacher, local guide, and mother of two based in Tokyo, I love welcoming visitors from around the world and sharing everyday life in Japan.
Once you slow down, you start noticing more.
This private Walk & Talk experience is shaped around your interests. Whether you’re interested in Japanese culture, history, food, family, work, daily life, or the Japanese language, feel free to ask questions and make requests.
We’ll explore Tokyo together at a relaxed pace. We may visit local neighborhoods, cafés, parks, shrines, or the area around your hotel. If you’d like, we can also visit Meiji Jingu Shrine, one of my favorite places in Tokyo.
Children are welcome, and no Japanese language skills are required.
I’d love to hear your story with Japan, and I hope our time together helps you feel a little more connected to Japan.
I can meet you at your hotel or another convenient location in Tokyo. Just let me know where you'd like to start when booking.
If you'd like, we can begin with a walk through Meiji Jingu, one of my favorite places in Tokyo. It's a peaceful place to relax, enjoy nature, and talk about Japan, culture, history, or anything you're curious about. Depending on your interests and hotel location, we can also begin elsewhere.
The rest of the experience is flexible and tailored to your interests. We can continue exploring local neighborhoods, shops, cafés, parks, shrines, or anywhere else that sparks your curiosity. Feel free to ask questions, make requests, or simply enjoy the conversation as we walk.
