A unique fishing and outdoor cooking experience in the stunning landscapes of Lofoten. Depending on conditions, we fish by sea, river, or lake, choosing the best location on the day.

This tour is suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced anglers. Together with your local guide, you’ll not only catch the fish, you’ll also prepare and cook a complete meal from the catch over an open fire. The guide leads the process, sharing techniques for cleaning, preparing, and cooking the fish, turning the experience into a hands-on outdoor meal, not just a tasting.

With a small group size, the tour is personal, relaxed, and focused on the joy of fishing, cooking, and spending time in nature.

You’ll receive details about the meeting point 24 hours before the tour starts. All fishing spots are located within Vågan municipality and are carefully selected to match the weather and season.

What to expect

You’ll meet your local guide and head out to the best fishing location of the day, by sea, river, or lake, depending on weather and seasonal conditions. After a short introduction and safety briefing, you’ll receive your fishing gear and learn simple techniques for casting and handling the equipment.

Then it’s time to fish. Your guide will assist you throughout, whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you already have experience. The focus is on enjoying the moment, learning about local fishing traditions, and spending time in nature.

Once a fish is caught, you’ll take part in cleaning and preparing it together with the guide. The experience continues as you cook a complete meal from the catch over an open fire, surrounded by Lofoten’s Arctic landscape. Finally, you’ll relax and enjoy the meal before returning to the starting point.
