Following breakfast, you'll be taken from the hotel to start seeing Jaipur's main sights. Begin with Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II's construction of Jaigarh Fort in 1726. Situated atop the Aravalli hills, the fort was built to defend the neighbouring other fort and is well-known for containing the biggest wheeled cannon in the world, the Jaivana Cannon. The fort provides sweeping city vistas and an insight into Rajput military construction.
Visit the famous five-story palace known as the Hawa Mahal later. It features 953 tiny windows, called jharokhas, with elaborate latticework. Constructed in 1799 from of pink and red sandstone, it was intended to allow royal women to surreptitiously view festivals and street life. A remarkable example of Rajput architecture, the Hawa Mahal is located on the outskirts of the City Palace.
Explore the City Palace, which is situated in the centre of Jaipur, after that. Beautifully constructed houses, gardens, and courtyards abound in this architectural wonder. Parts of the palace, which was formerly the Maharaja of Jaipur's residence, are now museums that display royal attire, armaments, and artefacts that honour the city's imperial past.
