It is the heart of Barcelona and the link between the old town (Ciutat Vella) and the Ensanche. It is one of the largest squares in Spain, famous for its fountains, sculptures and being the meeting point par excellence of the city.

One of the busiest shopping streets in Europe. In medieval times, here was one of the gates of the city wall, where according to legend a guardian angel appeared.

3Barcelona Cathedral
The best example of pure Catalan Gothic. It was built in the 14th century by the residents and stevedores of the Ribera neighborhood, which gives it a very popular and austere character.
