  We will start with a visit to the public gardens of Fez, which were originally exclusive to the royal elite and connected to the Royal Palace. They were created in the 19th century by Sultan Hassan I. Then we will go all the way around the new city to access the Jewish quarter (Mellah) from the south.

  Royal palace of Fes

  We will stop in front of the majestic gate of the Royal Palace, a symbol of the monarch and his artistic heritage. We will also visit a 17th century Ibn Danan synagogue, noted both as a religious monument and for its great cultural value within a mostly Muslim nation.

  Ibn Danan Synagogue

  Considered one of the best preserved synagogues in the country. Built in the 17th century, it reflects the deep integration of the Jewish community into the history of Fez, as well as its relevance in the economic, cultural and social life of the city for centuries. Its architecture, apparently discreet from the outside, contrasts with a richly decorated interior, where works in carved wood, plaster and traditional tiles stand out. Inside you can see characteristic elements such as the sacred ark (where the Torah scrolls are kept) and the bima, the central space for reading In addition to its architectural value, the synagogue is a symbol of coexistence and cultural diversity, recalling a time when Muslims and Jews shared spaces and traditions in the medina of Fez.   Discover the craft process of Moroccan ceramics, from molding to hand painting, in an experience that allows you to appreciate the art of zellige and the mastery of local artisans. We move to the southwest of Fez, where the areas rich in clay, essential raw material of this art, are located. There you will learn how artisans work directly with the earth, selecting the right mud and combining it with water, light and traditional techniques to achieve authentic and high quality pieces.
