Unlike city-based workshops, here you'll be surrounded by rolling hills, birdsong, and sweeping views that have inspired artists for centuries — and still feel untouched.

With over 22 years of landscape painting experience — and having painted scenes around the world — I’ve found that this spot holds a rare kind of magic. You’ll be supported with tips and techniques, but there’s no pressure to "get it right." This is a space to play, explore, and let your style unfold in your own way.
Also: all supplies included, a quirky farmhouse atmosphere, and warm hospitality with tea, coffee, and snacks — and you have an experience that’s as much about presence and peace as it is about painting.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Meet us at Cete train station and we will pick you up from there! From Porto’s São Bento station, take a 35-min countryside train to Cete. Trains run twice an hour for approx. €3 Or take an Uber (~€30) to the Court of Cavalum
What to expect
Upon arriving at the charming farmhouse, you’ll be welcomed with a brief tour to get acquainted with the space. You’ll have time to unwind and explore the property before we settle into a painting session inspired by the surrounding landscape. Depending on the day, we may paint at a picturesque countryside viewpoint or right at the farmhouse!
I’ll share tips and techniques for creating landscapes in acrylics, while giving you the freedom to follow your own creative path—this is a space for personal expression and exploration. All materials are provided, so all you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to create.
After the session, we’ll gather for a delicious meal together. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced painter, this is a mindful, enriching way to spend time in nature and step away from the pace of the city.
By the end of the afternoon, you’ll leave with a personal and lasting memento of your time in Portugal.
