What to expect

We are happy to invite you to our Ikigai Bar to enjoy the Shamisen musical experience that offers a deeper understanding of seasonal themes, a recurring and cherished element in Japanese aesthetics. You can enjoy not only traditional shamisen compositions but also reimagined Western popular songs, interpreted through the delicate sensibility of Japanese music.

Performed by Hakumai Yamada, who began his career in 2002 as a nagauta musician, appearing on prestigious stages such as the Kabuki-za. Since launching his solo career in 2014, he has been offering a musical experience that embodies wabi-sabi through vocals and shamisen.
