Full Day Guided Rock Climbing in Garden of the Gods

8 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

Garden of the Gods is one of the gems of the Front Range climbing scene and as the only certified guides operating in the park, we are excited to show you the best climbing it has to offer. This National Natural Landmark is located in Colorado Springs and features amazing sandstone spires jutting hundreds of feet into the air. The sandstone spires against the blue skies feature everything from beginner slabs climbs to difficult cracks and desert towers. All with Pikes Peak as the backdrop as you climb while falcons fly through the area and mule deer occasionally wander by. There are a variety of climbs that make this an excellent location for beginners as well as more challenging trips for climbers with more experience. With the pleasant weather of Colorado Springs fall and spring is one of the best times to climb.

Note: Because of the soft sandstone in the event of significant precipitation within 24-48 hours trips may need to be relocated or rescheduled.

What to expect

Garden of the Gods features a number of bigger, easier classic routes that even first time climbers can accomplish. While those climbing at a high level can find several quality climbing lines to keep them occupied.

Garden of the Gods is a unique climbing area full of history and interesting climbing features.

Choose between these classic climbs:
Montezuma's Tower (5.7): at only a couple pitches it's not a particularly long climb but nowhere else do you get such wild position on this teetering tower.

New Era (5.7): the perfect desert crack and you don't even have to go all the way to the desert! 3 pitches of stellar climbing lead to the summit of Grey Rock.

West Point Crack (5.9): challenging and with a variety of styles this reaches the summit of South Gateway in 3 pitches. The squeeze chimney tends to be a favorite before the wild lean across on the last pitch.
