Venture to Montserrat early in the morning for a serene experience at the Abbey and the iconic Black Madonna without the crowds.
From middle september till middle february we will see the sunrise. Departing from Barcelona in a comfortable van for a small group of 7, enjoy exclusive early access before tourist hours. After visiting the Abbey, take a hike to the top of one pick and enjoy breathtaking viewpoints. With 6,5 km hiking and stunning forest paths, this trip balances culture and nature perfectly.
At 12:15h, take the rackrailway train or the cable car to the base of the mountain and at 12:30h return to Barcelona to arrive at 13:30, having made the most of your day in Montserrat.

Meeting and pickup
One day before the trip I will contact the customers at what time I'll pick them up in front of they hotel or in another place walking less than 3 minutes far away. The van will have the name of the company and you'll have the plates.

We will leave Barcelona at 6:45h am to arrive in Montserrat at 7:30h am. Pick-up will be betweenn 6:15 am and 6:45 am from your hotel if you are located in Eixample area and other neighbourhoods, except, for example, Gothic, Raval, Born, etc

2Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey
At 7:30 am we will walk to the Abbey to learn the history of Montserrat and at 8h we will visit the Abbey and see the Black Madonna without queuing.
45 minutes • Admission ticket included -
3Montana de Montserrat
Later on, around 8:20h, we will start a hiking tour till the top of one pick with wonderful views. The maximum elevation gain and loss will do is 450m / 1476 feet, with 6,6km / 4,10 miles. The minimum hiking tour will be till wherever you want. If you do the full hiking tour we will arrive around 11:30h to the Monastery and you'll have some free time. The hiking to the top of the monastery, has steps during half way. The way down to the Monastery it's pavimented without steps. You can go back to the Monastery with the funicular also (ticket not included). If you prefer to do an easier hiking tour, I will recommend you different options.

4Cremallera de Montserrat
At 12:15h we will go down to the base of the mountain with the Montserrat zipper train, originally from 1892. The tour takes 15 minutes and we will have stunning views. If you prefer, you can go down with the cable car. You choose!

5Aeri de Montserrat
At 12:15h you can go to the base of the mountain with the Montserrat cable car, operating from 1930. If you prefer, you can go down with the zipper train.

6Barcelona
At 12:30h we will return back to Barcelona with the van to arrive before 13:30h
