What to expect

You’ll spend the day hiking through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, starting from the village of Imlil. Along the way, you’ll walk through traditional Berber villages like Aït Souka and Tamatert, where you’ll see local life and culture up close.

As you hike higher, you’ll reach the scenic Tizi n’Tamatert Pass (2280m), offering incredible views of the surrounding valleys. From there, you’ll pass through the unique natural rock formation called Tamatert Gate before making your final climb to the summit of Mount Talamrout (2700m).

At the top, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Imlil and Imnane valleys and the towering snow-capped peaks of Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest mountain.

After the hike, you’ll descend to Tamatert village and enjoy a traditional Berber lunch in a local family home — a warm and authentic cultural experience. Finally, you’ll return to Imlil and head back to Marrakech in comfortable private transport.
