Spend a full day exploring Southern Burgundy aboard a vintage Land Rover with a passionate local Insider.
Your tour starts in Lyon, with train tickets provided or private transfer depending on option chosen.
(If you're already in Burgundy, we'll meet in Mâcon directly.)
Once in Burgundy, you'll follow scenic backroads to hidden vineyards and lesser-known spots only locals know.
Enjoy at least four wine tasting stops — a mix of small producers, cooperatives, or even tastings right in the middle of the vines.
One of the highlights of the tour is a visit to Philippe’s home, a former winemaker turned druid with a remarkable private wine cellar.
Depending on your interests, your Insider may guide you to a hilltop chapel, medieval ruins, or a unique goat cheese farm in a former Cluniac priory and Celtic site — where the cheese is only sold on-site.
A day of discovery, flavor and connection in the heart of Burgundy.
The train ride to get to Burgundy departs from the Lyon Part-Dieu train station. We will provide you with tickets, timetable and directions. Meet us at the exit of the train station in Mâcon ville, a small station with a single exit and we're easy to spot: just look out for the vintage Land Rover!
You'll enjoy at least four wine stops throughout the day — a mix of independent wineries, cooperatives, or even a scenic tasting right in the vines. At each stop, expect generous tastings (minimum 4 wines per stop).
Along the way, your Insider will also guide you to some of the region’s lesser-known gems: a hilltop chapel, medieval ruins, or even a unique goat cheese farm into a former Cluniac priory and celtic site.
