Meeting and pickup
Plan to arrive at least 30 min early, and be aware of traffic. Park behind Discovery Center Collaborative (13170 S West Bay Shore Dr) across the street from our ticket booth. Please use the pedestrian crossing to get to us! If you are getting dropped off, you can go directly to Discovery Pier.

Embark on a relaxing and scenic evening sail on lower West Grand Traverse Bay. Your voyage will provide stunning views of the Traverse City waterfront, showcasing landmarks like the iconic Park Place Hotel and the Great Lakes Maritime Academy, complete with its impressive 224 ft. training vessel, the State of Michigan. Feel free to get involved! You're invited to help raise the sails and even take a turn steering the ship – a fantastic photo opportunity! Our friendly captain and crew will be onboard to answer your questions and share their knowledge in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. While enjoying the breathtaking scenery, you can purchase beverages and snacks onboard. Please note that the Evening Sail does not include a formal meal. Come aboard and experience Traverse City from a unique and unforgettable perspective!
