What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Plan to arrive at least 30 min early, and be aware of traffic. Park behind Discovery Center Collaborative (13170 S West Bay Shore Dr) across the street from our ticket booth. Please use the pedestrian crossing to get to us! If you are getting dropped off, you can go directly to Discovery Pier.

Join us for a truly unique sailing experience on West Grand Traverse Bay! As we glide across the water, keep your eyes peeled for the majestic raptors that are increasingly calling our shores home. This special sail features the Skegemog Raptor Center, bringing their famous educational birds aboard for an up-close and personal encounter. Learn about the fascinating reasons behind the increasing raptor presence, and if we're lucky, we might even spot one of the eagles nesting near our dock! As we sail, enjoy stunning views of the Traverse City waterfront, including iconic landmarks like the historic Park Place Hotel and the Great Lakes Maritime Academy, home to the 224 ft. training vessel, State of Michigan. Feel free to lend a hand raising the sails and take the helm for a memorable photo opportunity! Our friendly captain and crew are always ready to share their knowledge and answer your questions in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
