An immersive community tour, developed with the support of the Taiwan ICDF under their Community Business Revitalization Project, begins with a visit to a local farm. Touch nature as you stroll through this part of paradise, and learn about how to prepare the local meals, how to use herbs as medicine, and how life in nature can calm the soul. Surrounded by mountains and lush forests, then drive to Fond St. Jacques, a hidden treasure.
This quiet community is nestled in a serene valley; Fond St. Jacques captures the heart of all who dare to venture in. Observe the skilled ladies process fruit pulp into healthy and tasty frozen treats – sample one yourself! A short visit to the Interpretation Centre and the nearby church, the only one with a painting of a “black Jesus” tells some interesting stories.
Lunch is then served at the neatly tucked away creole restaurant for a typical Saint Lucian dining experience.
