The Valley of Butterflies in Rhodes is a serene natural park where thousands of Jersey Tiger Moths gather every summer, creating a stunning visual spectacle. Nestled in a lush green valley filled with shaded hiking trails, flowing streams, and small waterfalls, this unique ecosystem offers an escape from the typical beach experience. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks while observing butterflies resting on trees and rocks, and the historic Kalopetra Monastery adds a touch of culture to the visit. Sometimes the monastery is closed so we are not responsible for it.Ideal for nature enthusiasts, families, and photographers, the valley is a must-see destination in Rhodes, especially from mid-June to early September. The valley closes end of October.
Always wait outside of main entrance and not inside reception .Please allow the driver a thirty minute gap because of extreme traffic during summer.
Our excursion is very unique because we drop off the people on the northern entrance of the valley, making it more relaxed and more fullfiling because you see the whole valley instead of only the lower part that most competitors stop and people maybbe reach the middle if they are fit.
