You’ll shape clay, paint ceramics, and create mosaic art using traditional tools and techniques passed down through generations.
Unlike other activities, here you’re the artist — free to design your own tagine, cup, or mosaic tile. Every piece you make is yours to keep, and every moment connects you to the soul of Moroccan craftsmanship.
We also include a free behind-the-scenes tour of our working atelier and showroom, giving you a deeper understanding of the process and the passion behind the art.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We provide pickup from all locations within a 10 km radius of the city center of Fes. This includes hotels, riads, and private addresses. If travelers are staying outside this area, they can contact us to arrange a convenient meeting point. Pickup from specific hotels and ports within the coverage area is also available upon request. Please note that this experience is not wheelchair accessible. The workshop involves hands-on activities, extended periods of sitting, and may require some movement or walking within the traditional artisan space.
What to expect
At Soul of Fes, the experience begins in our traditional artisan workshop in the heart of Fes. This hands-on pottery and mosaic workshop is the main event — a chance to create your own Moroccan art guided by skilled local artisans.
What you’ll make:
- 2 clay pieces: Shape your own tagine, bowl, cup, plate, or any design you like.
- 2 painted ceramic pieces: Choose any shape and hand-paint with traditional Moroccan patterns.
- 1 mosaic square: Learn the zellige technique and create your own colorful mosaic tile.
️ You'll work with real artisan tools, using authentic methods passed down through generations.
