A quiet hilltop town about 45 minutes from Fes, perched at roughly 1,350m, marking the transition from the plains around Fes into the Middle Atlas foothills. It's known regionally for its cherry orchards — if the tour runs in June, this is when Imouzzer hosts its annual cherry festival (Fête des Cerises), which could be a nice seasonal upsell mention. The stop itself is brief: a viewpoint over the valley, a chance to stretch, and travelers' first real sense of leaving the plains behind as the road starts climbing into cedar and oak forest.

4Azrou Cedar Forest
alk through one of Morocco's most significant cedar forests to see wild Barbary macaques up close in their natural habitat. The forest is also historically notable — Gouraud Cedar is named for General Gouraud of the French Protectorate era, and some of the trees here are centuries old.

Azrou itself is a working Berber market town, historically a center of cedar woodworking. A stop at a local cooperative or the town souk lets guests see artisans at work and buy cedar-carved goods directly — useful as a "support local artisans" angle, and an easy optional add-on tier for your Viator pricing if you want a base vs. "cultural" version of the product.
