3Jiefangbei Square
The People’s Liberation Monument (Jiefangbei) is a historic and cultural symbol blending wartime legacy with modern vitality, It is one of the must-see attractions in Chongqing. Originally built in 1941 as the "Spiritual Fortress" to inspire resistance during WWII, it was renamed in 1950 to commemorate China’s liberation.
