Although no ninjas actually lived here, the building was designed with defensive features in preparation for possible attacks. ② Learn About the History of the Kaga Clan Discover why the Kaga Domain was closely watched by the Tokugawa Shogunate during the Edo period, and learn how the temple was designed to help protect the domain in times of conflict. ③ Experience Ingenious Edo-Period Architecture From the outside, the temple appears to have only two floors, but inside it features four floors and seven levels.
