Important: Advance reservation and admission are included. Temple rules prohibit outside guides from explaining or translating inside, and the official visit is in Japanese only. An English booklet is provided. Your guide will explain the temple’s history and highlights before entry, answer questions afterward, and use visual materials or voice-AI support when helpful. 1Myoryuji - Ninja Temple

Although no ninjas actually lived here, the building was designed with defensive features in preparation for possible attacks. ② Learn About the History of the Kaga Clan Discover why the Kaga Domain was closely watched by the Tokugawa Shogunate during the Edo period, and learn how the temple was designed to help protect the domain in times of conflict. ③ Experience Ingenious Edo-Period Architecture From the outside, the temple appears to have only two floors, but inside it features four floors and seven levels. Marvel at the remarkable architectural techniques and ingenious design created over 400 years ago. ④ Discover Japanese History and Culture Gain a deeper understanding of samurai culture, the history of the Kaga Domain, and the important role temples played during the Edo period.
