What to expect

Step away from the city and into a retro Japanese home in a quiet Tokyo suburb.
Cook Japanese everyday home-style cooking with your “Tokyo mom.”

Your menu will include:

Main dish (choose one cooking style and main ingredient)

・Saikyo Yaki – miso-marinated and grilled for a rich, delicate flavor

・Teriyaki – glazed in a sweet and savory soy-based sauce

・Your Request – Let me know your favorite Japanese dish, and I will do my best to make it happen
For each style, you can choose meat, fish, or vegetables.

Onigiri – Japanese rice balls shaped by hand and wrapped in seaweed

Fluffy Japanese tamagoyaki (omelet)

Seasonal vegetable dish

Miso soup

We’ll start by making dashi — Japanese soup stock made from seaweed and dried fish — the essential foundation of Japanese cooking. Along the way, you’ll discover the culture, health, and warmth of everyday home life in Japan.
