Your first stop is the magnificent Wat Chaiwatthanaram, one of Ayutthaya’s most revered and visually striking temples. Built in 1630 by King Prasat Thong in honor of his mother, this masterpiece blends Thai and Khmer architectural styles, evoking the grandeur of Cambodia’s Angkor Wat. With its riverside setting and elegant prang towers, it offers a captivating glimpse into Ayutthaya’s golden age.
Next, witness the tranquil beauty of Wat Lokayasutharam, home to Ayutthaya’s largest reclining Buddha. Stretching 42 meters long and 8 meters high, this open-air marvel embodies the serene grace of Buddhist devotion and offers a moment of quiet reflection.
Continue to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, once part of the ancient royal palace complex and considered the spiritual center of the former capital. Its three majestic stupas, inspired by Ceylonese design, are among the most iconic images of Ayutthaya’s architectural heritage. Nearby, explore Wat Mongkhon Bophit, home to one of Thailand’s largest bronze Buddha images.

This grand bronze statue measures over 12 meters high and nearly 10 meters across the lap, radiating a profound sense of peace and spiritual power.
Your final temple stop is at Wat Mahathat, once the spiritual heart of Ayutthaya.
