What to expect

During this experience, you’ll embark on an early morning guided hike to the summit of Mount Batur, one of Bali’s most famous active volcanoes. Your journey begins with a convenient hotel pickup before dawn, followed by a scenic drive to the base of the mountain. After a short briefing and receiving your flashlight, your professional local guide will lead you up the trekking route in the cool morning air.

As you hike under the stars, your guide will set a comfortable pace and offer rest stops as needed. After reaching the summit, you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise with panoramic views overlooking Mount Agung, Lake Batur, and the surrounding volcanic landscape. While enjoying the sunrise, your guide will prepare a warm volcano steamed breakfast.

You’ll have time to explore the crater area, take memorable photos, and learn about the volcano’s history and geology. Afterward, you’ll descend safely back to the starting point. Before heading back to your hotel, you may visit a local coffee plantation to sample Bali’s well known coffees and herbal teas. By the end of the activity, you will have enjoyed one of Bali’s most unforgettable natural experiences.
