Depart in the morning around 9am towards valley which is 30km away from Marrakesh. This valley is essentially populated with Berbers and rushes gradually at the top of the Moroccan Atlas.
In spite of its closeness with Marrakesh, it is still considered as a relatively protected valley. Its visit allows you to combine the discovery of spectacular nature and a traditional lifestyle. We shall pass by Tafza, where is the Berber Ecomuseum of the valley of Ourika. It puts forward the Berber culture through a collection of photos, potteries, jewels, carpets and weavings. After visit, we go towards Setti Fatma, the last accessible douar by the tarred road.
This small village is the departure point of numerous excursions to the mountains. The easiest and most appreciated hike consists in rising along a mountain stream to discover 7 levels of waterfalls. On the way back, you will have lunch by the river, on the terrace of a small traditional restaurant. We will be back in Marrakech around 5pm.
The driver will pick you up directly from your hotel or riad. He will wait at the main entrance or reception area. If the accommodation is not accessible by vehicle, we will contact the guest and their hotel/riad to arrange the nearest possible pickup point.
Begin at 9am with a pickup from your hotel/riad or the nearest meeting point in a private A/C vehicle.
Arrive at Tnin (Tnine) Ourika around 10am after a scenic drive. Stop at the traditional souq, especially lively on Mondays, to glimpse local trade and village life.
By 11am, visit a Berber village. Step into a traditional home to see how mountain life shapes daily routines, visite the oil cooperative
Reach Setti Fatma for a guided hike to the first waterfall, framed by greenery and cliffs.
