Experience a warm and memorable moment through a unique Chopstick Crafting Experience rooted in Japanese tradition. In this workshop, you will use carefully selected wood offcuts from traditional instruments such as the shamisen, valued for their beautiful grain and character.
Working alongside a skilled craftsman, you will create one pair of chopsticks using traditional techniques. The craftsman makes one chopstick while you craft the other, resulting in a meaningful pair completed together. The process is easy to follow, with gentle guidance provided throughout, making it suitable even for beginners.
If time permits, you may also have the rare opportunity to try playing the shamisen.
Your finished chopsticks are practical, one-of-a-kind, and filled with warmth—serving as a special souvenir that reflects both Japanese craftsmanship and your personal experience.

Meeting and pickup
Our guide is standing in front of Mukouyama Gakkiten. They are holding a signboard for our inbound tour service “YURAGI,” so please use that as a reference point to meet up. If you have trouble finding them, you can contact the guide directly via WhatsApp or phone.

Please note that total duration depends on group size: about 2 hours for 2 travelers, 3 hours for 3–4, and 4 hours for 5–6. The schedule may vary slightly depending on traffic, weather, and group pace.
