Meet up at "HITA" monument in front of JR Hita Station
First off, we stop at magnificent Sakura Falls. It’s named not for cherry trees, but for its powerful cascade that resembles falling white blossoms. This is a beautiful and refreshing start to our day, showcasing the region’s rich natural landscapes.
Next, we’ll visit a charming local roadside station. This stop offers flexibility for everyone in the group to pursue their own interests: For fans of Attack on Titan: This is your chance to visit the official Attack on Titan in HITA Museum. Immerse yourself in the world of Hajime Isayama’s masterpiece. (Note: small entrance fee applies). For all other guests: While fans visit the museum, you can enjoy Browse the Mizube no Sato market. Discover fresh local produce, unique souvenirs, and delicious snacks. It’s a perfect chance to see local life.
Prepare to be impressed. Here you’ll find the famous bronze statues of Attack-on-Titan's characters looking up at the wall. The sheer scale of the dam is an awe-inspiring sight for everyone, fan or not.
For our final stop, we’ll journey to the heart of Hita City to explore Mameda-machi. We’ll take a leisurely stroll through these beautifully preserved streets, lined with Edo-period merchant houses, traditional sake breweries, and charming craft shops. I’ll share its history and point out hidden gems before giving you some free time to explore independently.
