A skilled Wagashi artisan, who makes these sweets every day, will guide you step by step with care and attention.
We’ll begin with a short introduction to the history of Wagashi, its connection to Japanese culture, and the ingredients used. After that, it’s time to start making your own Wagashi!
You’ll create two types of Wagashi, each inspired by seasonal Japanese motifs. Using the same tools as the professionals, you’ll carefully shape colorful sweet bean paste into beautiful designs at your own pace.
You’ll get to take one of your creations as a souvenir, while the other you’ll enjoy on the spot with a cup of green tea.
Wagashi pairs perfectly with Japanese tea—its subtle sweetness is often just right, even for those who don’t usually enjoy sweets.
