This modern distillery stands on sacred whisky ground: the very site where the earliest written record of Scotch whisky production was found in 1494. At Lindores, history and innovation come together. Explore the beautifully designed visitor center, enjoy a guided tour of the state-of-the-art distillery, and raise a final dram beside the ancient abbey ruins where whisky’s story began. After the visit, it’s time to return — either to Edinburgh or Glasgow (each about 1.5 hours from Lindores) — bringing your Highland whisky journey to a memorable close. Slàinte mhath!
