This tour goes beyond just visiting distilleries — it’s a journey into the heart of Scotland’s whisky story, combining world-famous names with hidden gems and unforgettable scenery. Unlike larger, rushed tours, our small-group experience allows you to slow down, savor each dram, and immerse yourself in the traditions and landscapes that shaped Scotch whisky.
With distilleries, routes, and hotels personally visited and experienced to ensure the highest quality, you’ll enjoy a perfect balance of iconic brands — from historic Blair Athol to the birthplace of whisky at Lindores Abbey — and meaningful stories.
We will contact you 24 hours before the tour to confirm the pick-up point, and share vehicle details, and your driver’s information. Please make sure to be on time to ensure we can meet all our distillery reservations as planned.
Pick up at George Street and Frederick Street, park bay in front of The Standing Order, JD Wetherspoons. Time, vehicle and drivers details will be shared 24 hours before the tour begins.
Departing from Edinburgh or Glasgow in the early morning, begin your scenic journey toward Scotland’s whisky heartland. Your first stop is the historic Blair Athol Distillery in the charming town of Pitlochry. Nestled at the gateway to the Highlands, Blair Athol offers a beautifully traditional setting where you’ll enjoy a guided tour and a tasting of 3 drams.
Just a short 5-minute drive away, visit the stunning Macallan Estate, located on the hills above the River Spey. Marvel at The Macallan’s award-winning architecture and savor a guided tasting flight of 2 drams.
Drive southeast for about 45 minutes through beautiful countryside to reach The Glenlivet Distillery. Nestled in the remote Livet Glen, this historic site offers a tour through its still house and warehouses, ending with a tasting of 3 drams.
Continue west toward Dufftown (approximately 45 minutes) to visit the iconic Glenfiddich Distillery. Still family-owned, Glenfiddich blends tradition and innovation in every dram you’ll taste. Enjoy 4 drams after your tour.
After visiting both distilleries, enjoy a gentle walk along the scenic banks of the River Spey before returning to your hotel.
On the final day, leave Speyside behind and journey south toward Lindores Abbey Distillery, located in Fife — about a 3.5-hour drive from Speyside. This modern distillery stands on sacred whisky ground: the very site where the earliest written record of Scotch whisky production was found in 1494. At Lindores, history and innovation come together. Explore the beautifully designed visitor center, enjoy a guided tour of the state-of-the-art distillery, and raise a final dram beside the ancient abbey ruins where whisky’s story began. After the visit, it’s time to return — either to Edinburgh or Glasgow (each about 1.5 hours from Lindores) — bringing your Highland whisky journey to a memorable close. Slàinte mhath!
