What to expect
Character bento, known as “kyaraben,” is a unique part of Japanese culture where rice and ingredients are arranged to resemble cute animals or characters inspired by anime and pop culture. During the class, you will prepare classic dishes such as tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet) and karaage (Japanese fried chicken), then design and decorate your own original bento.
Your finished bento will be a beautiful and memorable creation, perfect for sharing on social media as a special memory of your time in Tokyo. With guidance from a friendly female instructor, even beginners can feel comfortable and fully enjoy this fun and authentic cultural experience.
